Qin Han Lou

Qin Han Lou is a chinese retaurant located two rows behind the KFC outlet in the town of Bentong. Among its signature dishes are the fish paste noodles, fish balls and yong tau foo, vegetable stuffed with pork paste and deep-fried. A lavish lunch of which the cost was never known but minus the exotic dish, would be a reasonable amount given the quality and portion served.

Fresh fish balls that are amazingly crunching and tasty that are served with fried garlic, spring onions, light soy sauce and oil.

Noodles made from fish paste, served with tung fun (glass noodles), pak choy, prawns, in soup with superior chinese wine. This is a must-try as noodles of fish paste is not common in KL or other towns.

Yong Tau Foo is a dish of red chillies, sliced bittergourd, aubergines and beancurd skin stuffed with minced pork paste. Served with tasty bean paste gravy with spring onions, this is a delicious and filling dish. Rather different way of serving compared to the ones in KL.
Sliced roasted pork in black pepper and mustard sauce is a dish that pork lovers would lavish upon. The sauce is adds ummph to the dish as it is superbly done.

Fried vermicelli with eggs, sliced mushrooms, chinese sausage, bean sprouts, chives, shredded carrots, onions and garlic. Eaten wrapped in fresh chinese lettuce.
Stir-fried spinach with crispy anchovies was good as spinach was fresh and young.

Steamed pomfret with sliced mushrooms and ham served with fried garlic, shredded ginger in light soy sauce. Extremely fresh fish with meat that is sweet and intact with interesting preparation with mushrooms and ham slices.
Stewed deer tendon with water terrapin flaps with dried scallops was quite an exotic dish. It's a dish that needed to be pre-ordered as the stewing would take a long time before the terrapin flaps are tender and soft for enjoyment.
